School Board President Response:

The school board and members of administration worked diligently over the summer to enhance our discipline and safety plans.  I have confidence in our administrators that appropriate discipline will be given for any issues that occur.

Superintendent Response:

A safe and supportive environment is critical for student education and wellbeing.  The safety of our Ambridge students and staff is of utmost importance.  To this end, we have consistently taken these matters seriously, conducted investigations, and responded appropriately with discipline.  Although it is inappropriate to share specific consequences, your inquiries regarding prior school year incidents were resolved.  It appears that some of your videos are old.  There have been no significant physical altercations in the school district this year with the exception of one bus incident.  That matter was investigated; discipline was issued and law enforcement was notified.  Student misconduct at the Middle School relating to the inappropriate use of pencils was addressed promptly.  We will continue these efforts to forge a school culture based upon respect and personal responsibility.  We appreciate the support of our families, teachers, school resource officers, and administrators.
