Heim, Lori

Mrs. Lori Heim has worked in the Ambridge Area School District for almost 20 years.   As the Technology Supervisor, she manages each aspect of the technology department.  She supports approximately 250 staff members and over 2300 students.  She is responsible for planning and implementing all of the district technology initiatives.   She manage projects from the initial stages of collecting vendor bids, to purchasing and installation, to implementation and integration.   Some of her recent projects include: a Student Information System conversion, a new learning management system implementation, security and surveillance upgrades, and classroom iPad integrations.

Mrs. Heim completed her master’s degree in Educational Technology from Penn State University with a focus on Instructional Design.   She also holds a Post Baccalaureate certificate in Educational Technology Integration from Penn State University.   Her bachelor’s degree was earned from Slippery Rock University with a dual major in Elementary and Special Education.  Mrs. Heim recently became certified as an Apple Teacher and Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer.

During her free time Mrs. Heim volunteers with the North Allegheny Girls Soccer team and loves photography and scrap-booking.
