HIGH SCHOOL PARENT BLAST 

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of Ambridge Area High School, 

We first wanted to follow-up on the email that you received from Dr. Pasquerilla on June 18 that informed the Ambridge community of a possible COVID-19 exposure in the district.  In an abundance of caution, the district is having a third-party professional cleaning company disinfect the exposed areas following all cleaning protocols to ensure the safety of the school community.  

I would like to thank you for your patience and continued support during our school closure this year.  I am happy to report that you will be able to pick up personal belongings (including band instruments and yearbooks) and drop off school-issued textbooks and other materials beginning on Monday, July 13, 2020.  In doing so, please adhere to the following schedule: 

  • July 13 – 12th grade  
  • July 14 – 11th grade 
  • July 15 – 10th grade
  • July 16 –   9th grade

In addition, please adhere to the following times each day for your grade level: 

  • 9:00-10:00 A.M. Students with last names beginning A-D 
  • 10:00-11:00 A.M. Students with last names beginning E-H 
  • 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Students with last names beginning I-N 
  • 1:00-2:00 P.M. Students with last names beginning O-R 
  • 2:00-3:00 P.M. Students with last names beginning S-Z

Families with children in multiple grade levels, please follow the schedule for oldest child.  Upon arrival to the High School, please pull to the back of the building between the Police station and the basketball courts and remain in your vehicle.  If there is not a space available, please wait in the Bottom Dollar lot for one to become available. A staff member will be present and to assist you and ask you for your child’s last name and confirm grade level.  They will then bring a bag of items from your child’s locker to your vehicle and collect any textbooks or other school-issued materials that you may have.  If possible, please be prepared to open the trunk of your vehicle for contactless pickup, and wear a mask.  We also ask that if you or any immediate members of your family have a fever or any other symptoms of COVID-19 that you contact us to setup another time or method for retrieval of items.

HIGHLAND PARENT BLAST

Hello Highland Family,

I hope that you are all enjoying a relaxing summer and are getting excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year.    With the abrupt end of the school year, many student items remain at Highland and we appreciate your patience as district buildings remain closed.  However, we are excited to announce that office and custodial staff will soon begin working for our school buildings again beginning in July.

We first wanted to follow-up on the email that you received from Dr. Pasquerilla on June 18 that informed the Ambridge community of a possible COVID-19 exposure in the district.  In an abundance of caution, the district is having a third-party professional cleaning company disinfect the exposed areas following all cleaning protocols to ensure the safety of the school community.

We know that many families are anxious to retrieve their student’s belongings.  In order to adhere to government guidelines, school staff will bag all student belongings remaining in the classrooms to prepare for pick-up.  Families will be able to pick up belongings, and return any school owned materials such as books and instruments, on Monday, July 13, 2020 using the following schedule:

  • 9-10      students last names beginning A-D
  • 10-11    students last names beginning E-H
  • 11-12    students last names beginning I-N
  • 1-2        students last names beginning O-R
  • 2-3        students last names beginning S-Z

If you are unable to come during your designated time on Monday, staff will be available on Tuesday, July 14 from 10:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. to assist you in getting your child’s belongings.  Anything remaining at Highland after the 14th will be picked up after school starts.

To ensure the safety of families and school staff, we ask that you follow the procedure below:

  • enter the school parking lot by the Highland playground.
  • pull up in front of the buildings main entrance.
  • remain in your car.
  • school staff will meet you at the curb and retrieve your child’s belongings.
  • allow staff to put the items in your car to provide for a contactless pick-up.
  • exit the parking lot by the marquis.

We ask that you adhere to the above schedule to limit traffic and wait-time and thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Economy Elementary Families,

I am happy to announce that a schedule has been created for the retrieval of student belongings.  We appreciate your patience, as the district buildings remain closed.  Our office and custodial staff will soon return to work in our buildings beginning in July.

To adhere to government and state guidelines, the school staff will bag all student belongings remaining in the classrooms to prepare for pick-up.  Families are invited to pick up belongings and return any school owned materials such as books and instruments, on Monday, July 13, 2020.  Please follow the schedule outlined below.

  • 9:00 to 10:00 student last names beginning A through D

  • 9:00 to 10:00 student last names beginning A through D 
  • 10:00 to11:00 student last names beginning E through H
  • 11:00 to 12:00 student last names beginning I through N
  • 1:00 to 2:00 student last names beginning O through R
