Ambridge/Avonworth JV team moves on in the playoffs with a 4-1 victory tonight against Deer Lakes.

Deer Lakes would take the lead in the second period 1-0, before Josh Perry would skate in from the left hand side and score to tie the game at 1-1.

Jake Jones would add a goal to take the lead 2-1.

Nick Pierson would find a loose puck around the net, turn it around and put it home to make it 3-1.

Ben Wyar would add a fourth goal by stealing the puck in the defensive zone and skating all the way through and shooting it past the Deer Lakes goalie to make it 4-1.

Ben Korol played in net facing 17 shots in net for the victory..!!

The team will move on now and play Knoch this Thursday March 12 at 9:20PM at Frozen Pond Ice Arena in Butler.

How about a two win night for Ambridge/Avonworth Playoff hockey..!!!

The middle school team traveled to Kittaning to play Indiana in the first round of the playoffs. The team came home with a 3-1 victory..!!!

Goals were scored by Zach Goldfain, Connor Ralston, and Jake Seifarth added a empty net goal.

Aaron Hailey played in net facing 21 shots on goal for the victory.

The team will move on and play Thursday March 12 at 8:50PM against Mars at Belmont Ice arena..
